Supporting refugees into work and business
Can you share your expertise?
Brighton Chamber is working with Brighton & Hove City Council and local charities to support people with refugee backgrounds into work, and provide help with starting a business.
We want to use the expertise in the Chamber’s brilliant business network to ensure that people with skills and experience, but facing additional barriers, can gain the confidence to find work or start a business - and feel that they’re a part of the economy of Brighton & Hove.
This exciting and impactful project includes opportunities for Chamber members to offer a mentoring session for those wanting to start a business; use your skills and expertise to provide advice; or talk at an event about your business journey.
We'll be organising more Inclusive Employer Jobs Fairs to help employers find the talent they need and build more diverse and inclusive teams.
Would you be willing to join a group of business experts who we can call on to talk with refugees about your sector or area of expertise? Or do you have jobs and training opportunities on offer that we can help share?
If you are a refugee looking at self-employment, work, training or volunteering opportunities, or an organisation supporting refugees, you can contact us here.
