British Design Shop Partners the Marine Conservation Society on it's New Modular Sofa Collection
British Design Shop has partnered the Marine Conservation Society on it's new sustainable modular sofa collection.
Lola by Russell Gillott features cushion fillers that are made from recycled post-consumer foam mattresses and is offered with fabrics made from 100% PET recycled polyester yarns, produced from waste plastic bottles. Approximately 35 x 1.5L bottles are used to produce 1m of fabric.
All British Design Shop sofas are made locally and are made to last. This approach is better for the planet than buying furniture that has often travelled halfway across the world or isn’t made to last.
British Design Shop is also proud to be a company member of the marine conservation society, a UK charity fighting for a cleaner, better-protected, healthier ocean: one we can all enjoy.
As part of this initiative, we are partnering like minded experts who can help us to understand more about what we can do to help. After analysis of our products, we have pledged not to use PFAS or forever chemicals and will also give £100 to the marine conservation society for every Lola collection order.
By taking this approach, we hope that our beautiful products will not only look great in your home, but in a small way will help towards the future health of our oceans.
