Creating a great employee experience and why it matters to your business
By Brighton Chamber
It’s been shown in evidence from across the world that, whether you employ a handful of people, or thousands of staff, creating a great experience for your team is critical for business innovation, reputation, growth and customer experience.
On 2 October, we’ll be joined by Belinda Gannaway, experience design coach, strategist and facilitator, and Director of Fathom XP, for an insightful and interactive talk about creating a brilliant employee experience.
Drawing on the insights and lessons from her recently updated book ‘Employee Experience by Design’, this session will help you explore what employee experience really means and why it matters, beyond just retaining and recruiting staff.
Belinda will share tips and tools to help you find out where you are now and where to focus to have the biggest impact (spoiler alert – it’s not about perks, bean bags and table tennis). She’ll offer thoughts on how business leaders can make a difference to the team experience, by leading with curiosity, empathy and experimentation, and share how the power of a coaching and a design mindset can help elevate your employee experience, and ultimately, your business success.
Whether you have a small but well-formed team or you’re managing a staff of 50+, you’ll leave this talk with practical and simple ways to build (and develop) employee experience into your people plans.
This event will give you a chance to get up close and personal with insightful, strategic, and motivating thinkers. Come prepared to park your prejudices and preconceptions at the door. Immerse yourself in a topic to which you may not have paid much attention before. And come away with a sprinkling of magic dust from an expert at the top of their game that will have a very positive impact on your future thinking.
We’ll provide drinks and cakes from 3:00 pm at Projects event space, the Globe room. The talk runs from 3.15-4.45, and if you’re as inspired as we believe you will be – stay for another drink, apply your fresh infusion of insider insights, and network with like-minded business leaders.
