You might have spotted that the Brighton Chamber member directory has been revamped and redesigned, with some fresh new features to improve your member experience, and help you find and connect with the businesses in your Chamber community (plus get your business seen too).
If you haven’t already, you can take a look at your new member directory here - and scroll down for a quick run-through of what’s new.
Exploring the directory: helping your business get seen
Having a profile on the Chamber website helps you raise the profile of your business – and one big change we’ve made is how you find people, from the very first search.
Explore through sector categories using the dropdown, plus get seen and find more businesses through our new free text search, which searches through business name, tags and sector categories. You’ll get more results, and in turn get your profile seen by more businesses.
And, so you can see who’s joining your business community, we’ve added a handy ‘Who’s new’ tick box, so you can see who’s joined the Chamber in the last month. This will automatically update as new members join, so remember to check in regularly!
On to your profile: showing who you are and who you work with
We’ve made your profiles more dynamic and navigable – split into tabs so you can browse more easily across about a business, posts they’ve written for our blog or the Activity Hub, and contact information.
We often hear from members that they like knowing who’s working with who, and because the Chamber is a brilliant referral network, we know you all collaborate, refer and work with each other a lot. So, we’ve also added a new section where you can add the Chamber members you’ve collaborated with – and see who’s been working together.
Easier ways to edit your profile
This one you’ll need to be logged in to view, but we’ve also changed the way you update and edit your profile so it’s simpler, easier to use and quicker.
We’ve split the profile editor up into sections (just like the front end of your profile) that you can skip between for an easier experience, so when you do a bit of housekeeping on your profile, it’s super simple.
