University of Sussex panel event: 'Brighton Online: Internet Entrepreneurs'
The University of Sussex is presenting this 'Chamber Special' panel session as part of their 'Enterprise Thursday' series organised by the University's Business and Enterprise Office.
Chaired by Julia Chanteray, President of the Brighton and Hove Chamber of Commerce and founder of The Joy of Business, along with one of the enterprising Sussex students, the panel of three different internet entrepreneurs will be asked what it takes to set up and run a thriving online business.
The panellists are:
Emma Ayres, founder of the Brighton-based boutique Dollydagger which was started in 2005 as an online concept store and has grown rapidly pioneering the vintage revival.
Geoff Ellis, founder of the Brighton Bead Shop which has been a Brighton landmark for 25 years and now sells to customers all over the world through it's online shop Beads Unlimited.
Kelly Scales, founder of Bid & Borrow established in 2010 Bid & Borrow is an innovative, green website that promotes sustainable re-use.
The University welcomes members of the local business community to attend these events, and you will be able to enjoy free refreshments kindly supported by Barefoot Wine, Harveys Brewery and Forfars Bakery.
This event is Free and takes place on 20th October at the Sussex University Medical School.
Doors open at 5.30pm with talks beginning at 6pm.
