Together we CAN do
A quick round up of some interesting points I observed during my butterfly flit between the media, arts and pleasure panels:
We need to share and connect with each other in order to truly learn and develop within our industries. A share economy, while an ideal, is not an impossibility and it is our responsibility to ensure that Brighton is absolutely all it can be.
Visitors should know where things of interest are, we need to highlight our best assets as all stunning divas should. We need to support our weaker areas and help them to grow stronger, perhaps forming a kind of 'Hollywood with a heart'. We cannot ignore that which we feel could be better, it is up to us to make it better.
Our media should work together, fall back on traditional forms of reporting, such as dignity, honesty and transparency, while finding a way to create something truly unique. The walls around reporting have fallen with the internet, anyone can publish rubbish and retention of trust has never been more important. 'Journalists have to earn respect through their work.'
A Youtube for Brighton? Why not!
The over riding message is the importance of working together. Together, we can do.
