Nick Martin, Marketing Executive at The Argus, has written a blog for us explaining what is new with the Thursday edition of The Argus. The Argus are sponsoring our sold out 'Risk taking' Chamber Breakfast with Arjo Ghosh on the 18th of March.
At a time when newspaper circulations have been under pressure, The Argus is growing its circulation, and as a result we are forecasting our current audited daily print and on line audience of 112,579* to grow by 12,000 to reach an audience of 122,579** in-print and online.
So how is this possible and what are we doing differently?
As of March 17, as well as News and Sport Thursday’s newspaper will be jam-packed full of additional sections with increased paginations for our Jobs, Motoring and Classified sections, plus our Property supplement which will also see its new home in Thursday’s edition.
The Argus has partnered with a number of the largest employers in the city who are all making copies of Thursday’s newspaper available to their employees to enjoy.
We will be boosting our audience numbers and gaining exposure to a younger, more aspirational audience who we hope will buy further editions throughout the week.
Editor Mike Gilson said “We’re planning to make Thursday a bigger and better read. If you are looking for a new job, a new car or a new home you can now find it all in one place in Thursday’s Argus.
“That’s alongside our normal news, features and sport service.
“I strongly believe bringing all of this together will be great for readers and give our advertisers even stronger response.”
The changes to Thursday’s Argus come into place on March 17, so why not pick up a copy, enjoy great news and realise the potential of a truly great medium for your advertising campaigns both in print and online.
*Jicreg 2015/Eltemar combined 1 day in print, 1 week online.
**Above audit, plus additional reach to 12,000 people as of 17.03.16.
