Thank you for your feedback - membership survey 2020
Thank you to everyone who completed the recent membership survey. We had a great response with over 22% of members sharing their thoughts.
By Amy Lishman of Brighton Chamber
We’re reviewing the responses and will share more about what you told us and what you’d like to see early next year, but for now here are just a few highlights.
This year ‘Being part of the business community’ came out on top as the most popular reason for being a member of the Chamber. Could this be in response to the impact of Covid-19 and feeling better connected to our local community, both in business and beyond?
Networking, inspiring events and introductions from the team are for the second year running the most highly valued benefits of being part of the Chamber. We’re looking forward to sharing what more we have planned to connect and inspire you but for now you can check out what we already have in the diary including the continuation of the virtual Chamber meet-ups, a brilliant line-up of speakers at the Chamber Breakfasts in the new year and the second Brighton Base Camp full of inspiring speakers in Spring.
The transition to online networking and learning has been well received but we recognise that the switch from face to face to virtual has not been easy for everyone. When asked what the biggest barrier to attending events online is, over half the people said time. While we can’t give you extra hours in the day, we can help you access the benefits of the Chamber efficiently, and effectively! Amy and the team are on hand to help you get some quick wins from your Chamber membership. We’d love to have a chat with you to see how else we can help.
We asked members what their priorities will be in 2021. It may come as no surprise but getting new clients, building a referral network and growing and scaling the business were listed as the top priorities. To help with this the Chamber has launched Catch the Wave, From Brighton With Love and Reset. Restart – three brilliant business support programmes designed to help businesses of all sizes and stages develop and grow.
We appreciate not everyone wants to complete a survey right now, so if that’s you, but you’re keen to share your views, we’d like to find some time to chat with you. We’ll be reaching out to some members over the next month. We’ll ask you a few questions, and you can elaborate if you’d like to.
In January we’ll share a longer update with you with our exciting plans for 2021 – until then, stay in touch and let us know if we can help with anything.
