Sustainable Refurbishment – learning from Northern European best practice
Three expert companies working on sustainable construction and refurbishment are hosting a free half day workshop at the Hove Town Hall on Wednesday 5th December. Ecosys, GreenSpec and Remade South East are delivering the workshop to assist construction companies grappling with sustainable refurbishment requirements.
The workshop is being presented by Brian Murphy from GreenSpec to highlight best practice examples of sustainable refurbishment. Mr Murphy will provide advice and guidance on assessing and choosing appropriate sustainable materials and case studies on methods and materials used in Northern Europe.
The workshop is part of the ZeroWISE Sustainable Construction Project, which is managed by Remade South East and funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The project aims to support the construction industry to reduce its impact on the environment by diverting waste away from landfill and providing advice and guidance on implementing sustainable construction practices.
