This highly interactive 2 day workshop is for those in the early stages of starting up their own businesses.
Day 1 will cover;
- What is an Enterprise or Business?
- Why do you want to be self-employed?
- Look at your skills and abilities
- Self-Assess your suitability for self-employment
- Business and personal goals
- What are you planning to offer?
- Reviewing your competitors – getting started
On Day 2 their experienced coach will help you work up your ideas and start planning next steps;
- Understand the benefits & risks of self-employment
- How to form & register a business
- Building networks
- Reviewing your competitors – what did you find?
- Completing the course offers the potential for you to gain the nationally recognised Level 3 Award in Starting Your Enterprise from the Institute of Leadership & Management.
NB Workshop requires a basic understanding of PC use.

The cost of the course is £100. There may be funding available to cover this cost if you are on benefits – please contact us for details.
