So long Superfast. Hello Ultrafast
Nicholas from OptaNet talks the arrival of Ultrafast to Brighton
The city of Brighton & Hove has been chosen by Openreach to roll out their new ultrafast infrastructure. Superfast fibre broadband already seems to be an outdated product, as new 330Mbps services become available. 4,346 premises here already have access to it but are still unaware.
OptaNet, Brighton & Hove’s local ISP is right at the forefront of this major shift, offering ultrafast broadband products to their existing client base, and new customers. According to the Openreach website, they are the only local company offering this to businesses and one of only a few throughout the country.
“Ultrafast broadband and the products that deliver it - G.fast and FTTP, will help accelerate business growth in Brighton & Hove, leading to the adoption of high quality, low cost related services, such as IP surveillance, cloud hosting and VoIP telephony. Almost 40,000 premises in the city will be able to receive one of the two products by the end of the year, giving those businesses an advantage over their competitors elsewhere in the UK.”
