Brighton Chamber members SiteVisibility welcomed two University of Brighton students to their offices today as part of the Business in the Community Give & Gain Day. Jeremiah Monk, a Business Information Systems student, and Sam Ingleston, a Digital Media student, were also invited to apply for the annual SiteVisibility Prize, which will see one student win a trophy and £100, and undertake a one year placement with the agency over the next 12 months.
The SiteVisibility Prize has been in existence for some ten years now, when the relationship with the University of Brighton began. Past winners have gone on to fulfil influential roles within the industry.
Jason Woodford, CEO of SiteVisibility, said “digital skills shortages are an industry wide challenge and SiteVisibility is delighted to be able to do its bit to attract more talent into this exciting and evolving profession.”
The digital marketing agency’s involvement in the day and relationship with the University of Brighton reflects its ongoing commitment to engage and support the local community. This also includes its relationship with the Brighton Aldridge Community Academy (BACA), helping young people to learn about and consider the rapidly growing local digital community on their doorstep.
Speaking about the digital marketing field student Sam, 20, said “I love SEO because you can never be a master of it, it’s constantly evolving. You encounter something different every day and can never get bored!”
