See what people had to say about the Brighton Summit 2014!
Here is what a few of the delegates had to say about the Brighton Summit 2014.....
"Quick note to thank you and your team for a brilliant Brighton Summit last Friday. Thanks to all the sponsors too who provided us with welcome refreshments and nourishments throughout the day. Starting with Rob Forkan of Gandy's Flip Flops - what an inspirational story - and brought to the fore expertly by Miranda Birch, Steve Bustin's energy filled compering and all the activities throughout the day which were in parts enjoyable, challenging and informative, to the finale at the Emporium - all was organised and ran like clockwork and made for a very worthwhile day out of the 'doing side' of the business. I did not think you could top the 2013 Summit - I was wrong. You have now set an even higher standard for 2015!" - Gerry, thebestof
"It is not that often that a local networking event pops up and gets me excited, however from the outset the Chamber of Commerce Brighton Summit looked different. The Chamber staff certainly made a really good job of marketing the event however there was something mysterious about the proceedings and I simply didn’t know what to expect – a bit of an adventure. I tried to embrace the whole day by ‘doing something daring’ and even volunteered to lead one of the unstructured sessions on a subject that I was passionate about but was outside my comfort zone and usual field of experience. In all, a very enjoyable day and one that will be definitely on my calendar for 2015. Congratulations to the Chamber for pulling off an event which was educational, fun, a bit of an adventure and dare I say, unique, something that is quite challenging in Brighton." - David Pegler, Head of Brewin Dolphin Brighton
"The peer learning and facilitated approach to some of the sessions at the Summit allowed me to focus on developing a strategy and timescale for a key business objective" - Peter Desmond, Growth International
"Starting a business can be a lonely task so when a chance to attend the event came up I grabbed it. Out of the whole day the morning workshop stands out, I heard five honest opinions that really changed the way I think about my startup. I never expected such honest and sincere feedback. The lesson for me is talk to people, get some feedback and be open to new ideas!" - Keiron Northmore, Greenlight Cyber Security
"Just a quick note to say a big thanks to you and the team for putting together such a varied and engaging day on Friday. I thought the different formats of sessions and the way they were linked together was fantastic, all culminating in the finale at the Emporium. A very well planned and executed event. Seamless from start to finish, looking forward to next year!" Louise Boxall, Cresco Communications
"It was certainly different to my usual work days and gave me the space and the people to take a leap forwards in developing the business" - Caroline Ridley, Impact Initiatives
"A day away from the office has done wonders for both myself and my business - I have had the chance to challenge myself, reflect on the past and plan for the future. This event will now be an annual fixture in my business calendar! Thank you" - Emma Ferrey, Tillian Consultancy and Coaching
"Simply the best conference I have attended. Well organised, great content and fun to boot" - Natasha Craver, Flex Associates
"I met a client I've wanted to work with for about 5 years, had a good chat and we're going to do some work together - great bonus which made the day entirely worthwhile just on its own" - Julia Chanteray, The Joy of Business
"Inspiring to spend time with others in business, I made lots of new contacts and discovered some exciting things (mostly about myself)" - Frances Duncan, Whitehawk Inn / Where Two Rivers Meet
"It is a motto I live my life and run my business by : "Great things don't come from comfort zones" - Dieter Hachenberg, Dieter Hachenberg Coaching
"An uplifting day of making connections and thinking out of the box" - Lisa Westbury, Generate
"Creative ideas, create great opportunities" - Carolina Ruiz, MAU Motions
"Another fab event from Brighton & Hove Chamber of Commerce - always a delight even if it did mean holding creepy crawlies!" -Jill Woolf, Chimera Communications
