SE-Assist Launch Invite
Launching initially in Brighton & Hove, SE-Assist is a pioneering approach to social investment which brings together large businesses & social enterprises.
This initiative aims to transform local economies by providing support for local social enterprises over a one to two year period.
SE-Assist wishes to support social enterprises that are tackling social issues while at the same time boosting local economies.
The initiative is being piloted in Brighton & Hove with the support of CAF (Charities Aid Foundation), Legal & General and NESTA.
The initiative will offer social enterprises in the area the opportunity to apply for support with the successful 5 social enterprises receiving a package which includes a £10,000 interest free loan, a Legal & General employee as a mentor and up to £5,000 worth of expert consultancy.
Applications for SE-Assist open online after this event.
Please come and join us to find out more about this exciting initiative! We will be joined by a range of local social enterprise supporters (Peter Field, Lord Lieutenant of East Sussex and Caroline Lucas, The Green MP for Brighton Pavilion) hear from John Low, CEO of CAF, Graham Precey, Head of CSR at Legal & General and also get the opportunity to put your questions to some of the fund allocation ‘decision makers’.
