A Pleasurable Assault on the Senses
What could be more enticing than the words 'pleasure hour'? Already Sam Roddick's ethical hedonism is spreading among Brighton's business pioneers.
Divided into six groups: the choir, relaxation, games, a visit to a secret garden, walking tour and chocolate making, the Brighton summit pleasure hour is an assault of the senses.
Jen from She Bakes showed us how to make amazing structures out of chocolate. For the down time, Bindi Sham taught meditation, a skill hard mastered for some. The choir, run by James Davey, was surprisingly beautiful...eventually. Sadly I couldn't make it to every activity but the feedback during lunch (delish by the way) was great.
Some vox pop-esq responses:
"I could lose myself in games"
"The helter skelter chocolate is amazing"
"I was quite surprised by the sounds we managed to produce"
"The technology is a bit incredible, isn't it?!"
And...HAZAAA the sun came out!
Doing business is the key component for most attending this event, but making the most of the down time has been shown to improve productivity exponentially. And really, what a city in which to do so.
