New Government incentive to reduce youth unemployment
A new Government incentive has been introduced to help tackle the growing problem of youth unemployment in the UK. The scheme, called Wage incentive means cash funding of up to £2275 could be awarded to employers taking on a new recruit aged 16-24 who has been unemployed for the past 6 months.
Wage incentives are obtainable through Jobcentre Plus across England, Scotland and Wales and are available to private, public and voluntary sector organisations. The aim is to help individuals at risk of becoming long-term unemployed find work.
