Tell us a bit about what you do
We are a firm of chartered accountants with offices in Brighton and Eastbourne but cover the country particularly in our dental and medical sector. Humphrey & Co have been successfully advising and supporting individuals and businesses with their financial affairs since 1928.

Individuals – We can help protect our clients and their family’s financial future with services ranging from Personal Tax, Inheritance tax Planning, Probate and Retirement & Care Planning to specialisms such as Expatriate Tax Services

What’s great about doing business in Brighton?
Brighton is such a vibrant city, most of our team who work in the Brighton office also live here. It has a real buzz and we love working with the exciting start-ups that the city attracts.
Why did you decide to sponsor the Brighton Chamber breakfasts in April, May and June?
Several of our team have been attending the breakfast for the last few years and we felt the time was right to raise our profile locally and support the chamber.
Over the past few years we have made lots of great contacts in the Brighton community and view sponsoring the breakfasts as our chance to give something back.
What do you like about being part of Brighton Chamber?
The Brighton Chamber is really proactive and the team are a pleasure to deal with. We love the variety of businesses that are members and the atmosphere and energy that creates.
What are your top 5 tips on choosing an accountant?
- Work out what you need
- Call them, email, and visit the offices – check that the service is good
- Meet the person who you will be dealing with
- Get 2-3 quotes (some firms will offer a free, no-obligation initial meeting to discuss your tax affairs – we do!)
- Ask other business people for recommendations
