A modern office with Passiv Pod
Passiv Pod, who recently won the Sustainability Award for Brighton Innovators, tell us about their modern take on the home office.
Home workers who seek extra space can now choose a unique award-winning office, designed to improve health and cognitive abilities. The 2018 Technology Award for Innovation in Sustainable Accommodation has been won by Brighton architects at Passiv Pod Ltd. A team of 5 architects, planners and consultants have created the world’s first timber frame zero carbon ellipsoid shaped home office.
The team was formed from a joint venture between Koru Architects, specialists in low carbon building designs, and Strategic Management Partners advisors in health and technology innovations. Co-founders Mark Pellant and Clive Bonny have launched a range of energy-saving buildings and have organised a crowdfund to sell shares in the business.
Clive says “Our biophilic design improves occupancy wellbeing and can reduce energy costs by 90%. Our crowdfund plans a high return on investment. We also offer attractive referral fees of 2% to 5% of sale price to anyone introducing us to potential buyers of garden offices, classrooms and eco-lodges shown at www.passivpod.co.uk ”.
