Message for potential stall holders – city futures
Even in the current economic climate, it’s still “Business as Usual” for us!
Over the years the city has enjoyed an annual jobs fair, bringing together employers and potential employees into one large venue.
In 2009 & 2010 this has been organised by Brighton & Hove City Council in partnership with Jobcentre Plus, and has built up an excellent reputation, to the point where it is now reputed to be the biggest Jobsfair in the South East. This year it will be supported by TheArgus, and headline sponsors are Brightonandhovejobs.com and Domestic & General.
This year the event will be held on Thursday June 9th from 10am - 4pm.
Last year, the jobs fair attracted over 40 employers, 20 training and service providers including advice on self employment, and the event attracted well over 1500 visitors.
This year is set to be the biggest and best event yet, with capacity for 80 employers, at the Brighton Dome and Corn Exchange. Due to a huge number of requests for stalls by employers, there are now limited places left.
So what’s on offer?
• The event is being held at the historic and easily accessed Brighton Dome
• Pre and post event marketing, including a dedicated page on the council website, video, radio adverts and editorial in local press
• Visitor breakout areas to complete application forms on the day with support from specialists, as well as 6 internet enabled computers to complete online applications
• An opportunity to be part of a publication in The Argus the week before the event (additional fee may apply)
• Lunch and refreshments for up to 3 members of staff per stall
• An invite to the “Employers Event” at the venue that night, celebrating the success of the day as well as the successful completion of our last campaign for apprenticeships, 100 in 100
This is so much more than just a Jobsfair. Where else will you be able to establish your presence in the city to such a wide and varied audience? Networking wil be actively encouraged throughout the day with other stallholders and historically this has led to a number of new partnerships.
If you are looking to recruit on the day or in the following 6 months you cannot afford not to be represented here. All this for just £100 minimum contribution per stall!
