Members Partner in Training Local Workforces
Staff from Mail Boxes Etc. in Brighton have recently achieved City & Guilds National Vocational Qualifications through training delivered by City College Brighton and Hove’s City Business Skills department. The company specialises in business services and offers next day courier delivery to USA, Canada & Europe and also offers accommodation address and digital printing services. With regular visits and support in the workplace from the College’s Vocational Assessor, Marcus Pescod, Retail Personal Assistants Sue Bell and Alzbeta Horvatova achieved NVQs in Retail Skills Level 2, and Customer Service Level 3 respectively. Marcus Pescod says:
“I was really impressed with how Sue and Alzbeta took on new workplace challenges and learnt new ways of developing their knowledge and skills within the retail industry. With the support of their manager and the business’s owner, they built up a portfolio of evidence that showed huge commitment from both of them. I think it’s also really helped them to focus on their roles in a way that will support the shop’s continued success. “
Mail Boxes Etc’s owner Dave Tester adds:
“I can recommend these courses for small businesses and the assessor from City College was excellent. Both my staff and the business have benefited greatly from gaining these qualifications.”
