Looking to recruit part-time staff? The University of Brighton can help
At the University of Brighton, the Careers Service can help you recruit skilled people into your organisation. For free. Yes!
If you attended the Brighton Chamber State of the City debate in the summer, you'll remember the discussions of higher level skills and why they can be hard to recruit locally.
Yet 20,000 students from the University of Brighton and some 13,000 students from the University of Sussex will be returning to their studies each year, and many of them are looking for part time work in the local area.
So our message is: don't just think about recruiting full-time. Think part-time! Here are some of the benefits:
- Students are learning up-to-date skills which can help you with your business (such as web development, social media marketing, search engine optimisation).
- Many may be mature students, and already have workplace experience, such as a year in industry.
- They're also keen to develop new skills that they can add to their CVs.
- If you're really looking for someone full-time, why not trial them in a part-time role first? (Less risk to you.)
- AND we can help you promote your vacancy free of charge!
- If you have vacancies that turn out to be unsuitable for students, why not ask BrightonandHoveJobs.com, our strategic partner, for help?
