Local garden designer creates Super Mario World at Brighton office
Garden designer Dawn Banks specialises in garden design for small, urban areas, creating bright and inspiring spaces to relax in or simply just to admire.
This is what Dawn has to say about her work:
Like paintings, a visual space can create a feeling within you whether it be relaxing, emotional, calming, energizing or motivating. Your feeling at the time will determine how you approach the task ahead. The idea that businesses place importance on the sense of wellbeing within the work place is paramount to the success of a energetic and effective work force. Transforming a ‘dead’ space into something that you, your consumer or your staff will enjoy will in turn benefit the business.
It's an opportunity where you can create the desired atmosphere and effect on the people within that space. Specific businesses have specific needs for example, retail - projecting a relaxing feeling will ultimately relax their consumers increasing the chances of spending. Alternatively, vibrant and energising installations would be ideal for motivating the driving sales team.
Search agency Propellernet continues its fun and wellbeing focus with the installation of Super Mario World at its Brighton Head office. A previously unused but very visible area of the office was transformed into a ‘Funky’ and ‘Fun’ space that was in line with Propellernet’s values.
CEO of Propellernet - Jack Hubbard
“This installation generates talk and inspiration amongst our staff, increasing the buzz and excitement of the working atmosphere. This has a creative and positive impact and increases productivity overall. Our business is a unique service in which we are constantly searching for ideas and with the our sense of adventure we discover and deliver new opportunities and approaches for our clients. Dawn grasped our work ethics and the energy that we as a company have and has managed to transfer this into a 3 dimensional work of art, we love it.”
The Chamber office balcony is also being designed by Dawn, we'll keep you posted with the development!
