Starting your own business, going self-employed?
These highly interactive 4 days of workshops are for those in the process of starting up their own businesses.

Day 1: Your offer & finding a Unique Selling Point (USP).
• What are you offering and to what types of customer?
• Comparing yourself to your competitors and why
• What risks are involved and assessing yourself

Day 2 Marketing and doing the right Research covering:
• Market Research and interpretation of information
• Conducting a market research questionnaire
• Marketing your business and your USP

Day 3 Financial & Legal aspects covering:-
• Identify laws and regulations relevant to your business
• Assessing the financial needs of the business, including a practical exercise of looking at managing your money

Day 4 Customer Service & Pricing covering:-
• Understanding customer service and their needs
• Listening skills and asking the right questions
• Understanding the factors that affect pricing principles

Completing all 4 Days offers the potential for you to gain the nationally recognised Level 3 Certificate in Starting Your Enterprise from the Institute of Leadership & Management.

NB Workshops require a basic understanding of PC use.

Institute of Leadership & Management Level 3 Certificate in Starting Your Enterprise The cost of the course is £200. There may be funding available to cover this cost if you are on benefits – please contact them for details.
