Innovation and design events coming up soon at The University of Brighton
Robbie Vella talks about the innovation and design focused events coming up soon at The University of Brighton:
The first is Design for Sustainability and Innovation, part of the Research Insights seminar series where the university’s leading experts will present highlights of their research into sustainable design, new collaborations between designers and scientists, and design for the digital economy.
This is a FREE seminar, but booking is required. 8 October, 2.30pm–5.00pm at the Arora Hotel, Crawley, RH10 6LW. www.brighton.ac.uk/innovationthroughdesign.
For a deeper dive into the latest thinking in sustainable design, we are offering our Sustainable Design Pioneer course. The four-day course for designers, innovators and change agents offers a new approach to responsible product design and will give your business or practice an ethical advantage. The course is led by the university’s Professor of Sustainable Design, Jonathan Chapman who is a recognised expert in the field for his pioneering work with brands including Puma, H&M and Sony.
It runs 27–30 October, 10am–5pm at the University of Brighton, Grand Parade, BN2 0JY. www.brighton.ac.uk/sustainable-design-pioneer.
And finally, remember that working with the University of Brighton, you can get £1000 grant towards a graduate intern placement. The internships last for six weeks with a view to ongoing, permanent employment. www.brighton.ac.uk/internships.
