Inaugural Brighton Marathon Selects Charity Partner
The first Brighton Marathon has been given the green light, and will be taking place in April 2010.
Guide Dogs is delighted to be nominated as official charity partner of the inaugural and much anticipated Brighton Marathon.
This new event will take place weekend before the Virgin London Marathon, guaranteeing a spring marathon event for all. The race route will take in the best of the city centre and fabulous stretches of coastal road, including the panoramic views that you’d expect where the glorious South Downs meet the English Channel.
A registration fee of £40 will secure your place, and the minimum fundraising target is £500.
If you've already arranged your own place in the Brighton Marathon, let Guide Dogsknow - we would be delighted if you joined the Team.
There are almost fifty guide dog partnerships the Brighton area, bringing life changing support to blind and partially-sighted people. Events like the Brighton Marathon will help us to support more blind and partially-sighted people with our services.
Once you sign up to the team, we'll provide you with a full support pack including training plan, sponsor forms, fundraising tips and a technical running top to wear on the day.
The support package page will give you more details on the Guide Dogs support you'll receive.
