Help to make cycling and driving safer in Brighton
Whilst cycling is great for both your health and the environment, it is essential that both drivers and cyclists are ensuring they practise road safety. We run adult cycle training courses (currently free), the Safer Urban Driving CPC course for professional drivers (also useful to van drivers) and Exchanging Places events to illustrate blind spots and vehicle workload to cyclists (next event on Friday 8 December on New Rd, 11 am to 3 pm). Free hi-vis rucksack covers and blind spot mirrors (for cars) will also be available.
The campaign Driving for Better Business helps businesses minimise their costs and improve their profits by effectively managing their fleet. Over 35% of collisions on our city’s roads involve people on their way to work, and collisions with cyclists are on the increase.
Collisions on the roads can have a huge impact on an individual, but can also harm your business. Please check you are doing what you need to minimise risks both to your employer and to your business.
