The Checkland Building has been environmentally designed, incorporating night time cooling, natural ventilation, and green roofs to insulate the building from heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer.
After the workshop attendees will have documentation to take home, receive a certificate and will be registered on the STEM Registry.
These workshops will take you step-by-step through the first level of the Steps to Environmental Management (STEM) certification scheme
At the workshop, you will learn:
- Quick wins to cut costs and carbon,
- How to define your baseline and understand any environmental legislation relevant to you,
- How to identify your significant environmental impacts,
- How to draft an Environmental Policy, and
- How to collect data for your carbon footprint.
This workshop is fully funded by KCC and the South East European Regional Development Fund Competitiveness Programme 2007 – 2013.
