FREE home energy efficiency assessments for householders in Portslade, Hollingdean and Hanover
Brighton & Hove 10:10 and Brighton Energy Co-operative have been awarded a Government grant to carry out 150 free home energy efficiency assessments in Portslade, Hollingdean and Hanover.
The first 50 homeowners to sign up from each area will be entitled to a free assessment worth £395 and a personalised home energy report that will suggest what changes you could make — add wall insulation, upgrade boiler, install heating controls — to make your home warmer and more comfortable to live in, and help you waste less energy.
There’s no catch: the home energy survey will be yours to keep and to follow up on, if or when you decide to.
They’ll also give you up to £100-worth of energy-saving stuff you can fit in your home yourself including energy meters, draught-proofing kits and radiator boosters.
To book your free survey call their partners, The Green Building Partnership on 01273 961272 or visit greenbuildingpartnership.co.uk. Only available to 50 households in each area, so book now!
Brighton & Hove 10:10 is also helping put on two home energy efficiency events on 10 March — at the Hanover Centre (10am-12pm) with Hanover Action for Sustainable Living; and Hollingdean Community Centre (13.30-15.30pm) with Hollingdean Development Trust.
Come along to sign up for an assessment (if there are any left), pick up a free home energy efficiency pack worth £100, watch a live demonstration of how to fit simple energy saving measures, and receive tips and advice on how to cut your energy bills.
