Exclusive staged reading: The Greatest is Love, 22nd April 2012
The Greatest is Love, 22nd April 2012
Starring Hugh Bonneville & Caroline Langrishe
“Our lives are composed of the minutiae of everyday existence. Only in a letter do you find such detail” - Roland Rocchiccioli
The Ambassador Theatre Group, together with Martlets Hospice, would like to invite you to a private fundraising event at Theatre Royal Brighton starring Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey, Twenty Twelve) and Caroline Langrishe (Judge John Deed). For one night only, we will be staging an exclusive reading of The Greatest is Love, a new play by Roland Rocchiccioli.
The Greatest is Love tells the moving story of one couple, Rupert and Diana, through a collection of poignant love letters spanning their life together. This extraordinary play sheds a deeply personal light on the pain of separation during the Second World War and the heart-wrenching struggle to return to normality afterwards. The picture their intimate correspondence paints is one of touching romance and, later, breathtaking honesty as Rupert and Diana learn that amidst our greatest passions, we remain falteringly human.
The staged reading will take place on Sunday 22nd April at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £12.90 and all proceeds will go to the Martlets.
For tickets please visit the Theatre Royal Website - www.atgtickets.com/brighton or call the box office on 0844 871 7650.
