Entrepreneurial Spark Powered by Natwest, opens its doors for growing and scaling businesses and those seeking investment
Fiona Anderson, Entrepreneur Development Manager for Natwest talks about the new sprint programme at Entrepreneurial Spark and the move to work with high growth, investment ready businesses.
When does the new entry criteria for the Brighton accelerator start?
We are rolling out the new sprint programme with effect from February 2017.
We welcomed 34 new businesses onto the sprint programme today for the 1 day bootcamp introduction and will run our second bootcamp on the 31st January for those businesses staying on with us for a further 12 months.
What kind of businesses are you wanting to attract to apply?
We are looking for all stages of business, early stage and ideas and those who are growing and scaling and looking for investment.
There are 4 key stages
- ‘Sprint’ for early stage and ideas (3 months)
- ‘Enable’ (after initial 3 months of sprint) move into more focused 1-1 enablement for a further 6 months
- ‘Build’ is for businesses who are turning over at least £10k a month and have secured early stage SEED funding of a minimum of £25
- ‘Grow’ is for businesses turning over a minimum of £150k per annum and/or secured a minimum of £150k of investment, looking to grow and possibly have a small team
The maximum time anyone can stay with us will be up to 21 months. This very well may not be a consecutive 21 months, each stage can be applied for and accessed when the business most needs it.
