As autumn approaches, the vibrant city of Brighton eagerly anticipates an event that combines art, community, and a touch of whimsy - the Shaun by the Sea Wild in Art Trail.
At the heart of this exciting initiative is the collaboration between Shaun by the Sea and Martlets Hospice, both of which are making a positive impact. We (Plus Accounting) are excited to be sponsors of this incredible art trail, and we're thrilled to invite you to join us in a unique and fun-filled Selfie Challenge that embodies the spirit of unity and support.
A creative collaboration
The Shaun by the Sea Wild in Art Trail is a celebration of art and compassion, bringing together local artists, businesses, and community members to raise awareness and funds for Martlets Hospice.
The idea is simple yet brilliant: talented artists transform blank Shaun the Sheep sculptures into captivating works of art, which are then placed throughout the city for everyone to enjoy. This year's trail promises to be even more remarkable, with an array of unique designs that will undoubtedly ignite the imagination of all who encounter them.
Picking the perfect artist
Behind the scenes, there was quite an interesting process in selecting the artist who would contribute to our sponsored Shaun sculpture. Local businesses and organisations eagerly showed their support and enthusiasm to take part in this creative journey. After careful consideration, which took us about five circles around Fabrica, where all the designs were displayed. We were thrilled that our top choice came through and we get the chance to collaborate with the talented Sara Pope, whose remarkable vision and artistic prowess perfectly resonated with our values and vision for our Shaun.
Embracing community engagement
To truly immerse ourselves in the spirit of the Shaun by the Sea Wild in Art Trail, we've devised an engaging and entertaining Selfie Challenge for everyone to enjoy. On Wednesday, 20 September, starting at 3pm, we invite you to join us at Old Steine for an unforgettable adventure. Form teams of six, gather your smartphones, and embark on a delightful quest to capture selfies with as many Shaun’s as possible within a two-hour window.
A meaningful cause
Beyond the laughter and camaraderie, the heart of this event lies in our support for Martlets Hospice. The invaluable services they provide to the community make a profound difference in the lives of patients and their families. The entry fee of £200 per team will directly contribute to the work done everyday by Martlets Hospice, ensuring that their compassionate work continues to touch the lives of those in need.
How to join
If you're as excited as we are about this joyful event and wish to participate in the Selfie Challenge, registering your team is a breeze. Simply reach out to Victoria King at victoriak@plusaccounting.co.uk by 4 September to secure your spot.
