Current Breakfast Briefing sponsors – The Careers and Employability Centre, University of Sussex
The University of Sussex Careers and Employability Centre is delighted to be sponsoring the Brighton and Hove Chamber of Commerce Breakfast Briefings. They are a fantastic opportunity for networking and getting a sense of the scope of business and enterprise in Brighton.
One of our major aims this year is to develop relationships with local businesses to share with you interesting ways that our University of Sussex students and graduates can add value and growth to your business. In the past year we have funded or part funded nearly one hundred internships for Sussex students and graduates to start their careers with local SMEs. A number of local companies have benefited from Sussex students taking a year out of their degree to undertake a work placement with them. We also regularly invite local entrepreneurs to campus to inspire students to develop their own business ideas and to contribute to the development to the local economy.
We know, however, that there are still many local employers who aren’t aware of the funding opportunities available, the talented students and graduates who can help you to grow your business, or the support we offer to local companies looking to recruit students and graduates. Linda Buckham, Director of the Careers and Employability Centre, will be attending Breakfast Briefings with members of her team to find out more about your business and how we can support you.
In the meantime our website will give you an overview of the ways you can engage with us.
