The Council wants your views on the development of the City.
A new City Plan for Brighton & Hove is being drafted to take forward the work on the city's Core Strategy. The City Plan will provide the framework for future development in Brighton & Hove up to the year 2030 and will be an important tool for attracting and directing investment in the city.
If you are interested in the forthcoming review of the Core Strategy, this link will take you to a summary on the Economic Partnership'swebsite. It explains the administrations preferred options for each of the areas being considered.
There will be consultation on a full version of the plan early next year. At this stage, the Council wants to make sure local people and organisations have had an opportunity to influence decisions of four key areas of policy where significant changes are being proposed:
- Housing targets and housing delivery
- Park and Ride (transport)
- Employment, and
- Student housing
The council is seeking your views on its preferred options for tackling the issues set out in the papers and the online questionnaire is available for you to express your views. Your responses will inform the preparation of the draft City Plan.
The consultation runs until 2 December 2011, so you must submit yur views by the end of this week.
