Claire’s business is growing beautifully, thanks to the Business Navigator Scheme
Claire Wallace's Wedding Hair and Makeup business is growing beautifully, thanks to the Navigator Scheme.
With over 12 years of experience in running her mobile wedding hair and makeup service, Claire is now looking to expand her business. She has a full team of mobile, freelance, professionally qualified hairdressers and makeup artists offering a full range of services. Claire says, “It’s a really good business model that I knew could grow. It just needed a stable foundation and the right processes put into place.” That’s where the Navigator Scheme came into play.
Brighton & Hove Chamber of Commerce has joined forces with Worthing & Adur and Chichester Chambers to offer this free service, which signposts local businesses towards grants, funding and guidance available locally or nationally. The project is supported by the Regional Growth Fund and managed by Coast to Capital and delivered on behalf of the Greater Brighton City Region. Since the project launched last July, Brighton & Hove area Business Support Navigator Laura Evans has been helping businesses across the area.
Thanks to Laura’s guidance, Claire has secured an initial £2k in Growth Vouchers. Weekly meetings with a business mentor are also helping her focus on strategy, targets and implementation.
Claire adds, “I have already benefitted from the Growth Voucher Scheme, which I wouldn’t have found without Laura’s help. I’ll definitely be going back to her for further guidance.”
