City College stages Hair Show spectacular to launch new ‘City Revival’ salons
City College Brighton and Hove recently staged a ‘Beside the seaside’-themed charity Hair Show spectacular in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support to coincide with the official launch of its new ‘City Revival’ hair & beauty salons on the mezzanine floor of the College’s Pelham Street campus.
The new salons offer cutting and styling alongside manicures, pedicures and massage. Guest of honour Keith Turner from Vidal Sassoon’s Brooke Street salon in London was there to ‘cut the ribbon’ along with the College’s Vice-Principal James Mettyear and Mayor of Brighton & Hove, Anne Meadows.
“These new salons are effectively expanding and updating our existing salons on the 9th and 10th floor of the Pelham campus in a way that is easily accessible to the public and highly visible to anyone visiting the College”, said Frances Franklin, City College’s Curriculum Manager for Care, Foundation Learning & Service Industries.“As well as expanding our offer and increasing City Revival’s profile, these new salons enable the students to gain skills at a commercial pace which will make them work-ready in their future careers. Most importantly for our customers, the salons are also providing a quality service at a very reasonable price.”
