City College offering free redundancy support service
City College Brighton and Hove has partnered with Chichester College to run Skills Support for adults based in Sussex who are either under notice of redundancy or who have been made redundant in the last six months.
The College is delivering free information, advice and guidance as well employability training and up/re-skilling of vocational skills. The service aims to get people back into work within 13 weeks after finishing their course. City College is also encouraging businesses that are making redundancies to get in contact with them with the offer of a bespoke package or choosing from the College’s core offer which covers areas such as IT, Accountancy, entrepreneurial skills, confidence-building, employability skills, team-leading, health & social care as well as Health and Safety and First Aid certification.
Donna Keenan, City College’s Managing Director of City Business Skills said: “Redundancy can really knock an individual’s confidence and cause them a great deal of anxiety so we’re delighted to be able to offer a free and flexible service that helps people facing this predicament to make the most of their future options.”
