Brighton Uni students win chamber prize!
We'd like to say a big congratulations to the University of Brighton graduates Maiyuri Sivagurunathan and John Harvey who recently won the Chamber sponsored prize at the Brighton Business School Prizegiving for the best contributions to local industry, following their volunteer work at the Brighton & Hove Chamber of Commerce.
Sarah Springford, Chamber director: "We know how hard it can be to find a job without relevant work experience, and that is why at the Chamber we are committed to working with students to help where we can. When enthusiastic and skilled graduates like John and Maiyuri volunteer to help us we are delighted. The work they have done for us was really useful to the Chamber and our members"
Maiyuri says: "I enjoyed working with the Brighton and Hove Chamber of Commerce as it was an opportunity for me to meet ambitious and entrepreneurial people within Brighton. It also gave me a chance to network and experience some of the diverse and interesting events that the Chamber organise. The Chamber is an excellent organisation and provides support to various people. This support has provided me with various opportunities and enabled me to use my time efficiently to work towards a future career. Thank you to everyone at the Chamber!"
