Brighton Chamber Members Invited to Brighton TV Showcase
Brighton & Hove Chamber members are invited to attend a showcase of Brighton’s proposed new terrestrial TV channel, Latest TV, which aims to go on air next year.
Brighton & Hove has won the bid to be one of the 20 major towns and cities in the UK to hold a licence for local TV after its application, led by The Latest magazine team and supported by all local MPs, Brighton & Hove City Council, Juice FM, Wired Sussex and many local businesses, was submitted last year.
"Brighton & Hove has long been side-lined in terms of TV coverage, with our regional TV stations being run from afar, so even our news is led from Hampshire or Kent,” said Bill Smith, Managing Director of Latest TV.
“We have enormous pride in our diverse and exciting city and it deserves to be the first with its own TV channel, covering everything from news and sport to culture and the arts, which also means that businesses in Sussex and further afield will be able to speak directly to the population of Brighton & Hove in a way they haven’t before.
“We are therefore holding a showcase for interested businesses to come along and find out more about how they can get involved in the channel when it goes on air, to see some of our creative programming ideas and to share their own ideas with us.”
The showcase will be on the evening of 3rd July in Brighton and spaces are limited, so anyone wishing to register should email kat@naturalpr.biz for details and confirmation.
