Brighton Chamber Director wins 'Outstanding Brightonian' at the Brighton & Hove Business Awards
We are very proud that Director of the Brighton Chamber Sarah Springford won 'Outstanding Brightonian' of the year at the Brighton & Hove Business Awards (BAHBAs) last week.
Sarah Springford, receiving the 'Outstanding Brightonian' award from Mike Gilson, Editor of The Argus.
Sarah has been the Brighton Chamber Director since 2008, and since then the Chamber has developed into a vibrant, exciting and supportive business community with around 600 member businesses. It is fantastic for the Chamber to be recognised for the work it does for local businesses, for example; delivering the Ride the Wave business support events for Brighton Council for the last four years; developing a new project Recruit Ability helping disabled people into real job vacancies and leading the Brighton & Hove Living Wage Campaign, which has signed up nearly 300 local businesses since it started in 2012.
“It is such an honour and an accolade to have received this award from the BAHBAs judges. And brilliant that the living wage and Brighton Chamber have been recognised in this way by the business community”
It was great to be able to celebrate business achievement within the city and we wish many congratulations to all finalists and winners from the night.
