Brighton business woman needs your va va #Voom
Nikki Rae, from Brighton, East Sussex is an enterpreneur who is passionate about data. So much so, her twitter handle is even @analyticsgirl! She runs a company called Future Insight Analytics which help organisations better understand their customers. Nikki Rae needs your help. She needs you to vote here - http://www.virginmediabusiness.co.uk/pitch-to-rich/start-up/
Nikki Rae entered (at the last moment, as they only promoted in Brighton last week), the competition Pitch to Rich. It is run by Virgin Media (#voom) and you get the opportunity to pitch your business idea to Sir Richard Branson and prizes that will help grow her business. This of course creates work and brings in publicity for Brighton and Hove and the surrounding areas.
Nikki talks about why she started her business.
"I am not normal. Normal in statistics terminology means average. I setup Future Insight Analytics because everybody wanted me to be ‘normal’. At that time, even 4 years ago, it was very difficult to find a company who could support and understand the needs of a working parent.
Future Insight Analytics enabled me to have more flexibility around looking after my children, looking after my clients and looking after all the responsibilities which come with those roles.
I have a strong philosophy to help people achieve their goals and want to create a business that plays to people’s strengths. Placing different types of people with differing lifestyles and experiences on projects breeds amazing new ideas. We will not be normal.
I have a track record for success in innovation. I innovated a call tracking service that pushed session data into Google Analytics when a telephone call was made, reporting which marketing channel delivered that potential customer. That was gold to my industry.
My thirst for innovation and drive for understanding customers comes from my grass roots past of pulling pints at my local, working as a bank teller and other customer service roles followed up a few years later with a BSc in Computer Science with Management Studies and an MSc in Technology and Innovation Management from the University of Sussex.
I’m a respected authority in Customer Analytics, and have been a regular speaker at conferences including; International Classified Media Association, Brighton SEO, SES London and SMX both in the UK and Internationally. You will also find me at smaller, more local venues sharing knowledge with fledgling businesses."
Please help me follow my dream and vote for me here - http://www.virginmediabusiness.co.uk/pitch-to-rich/start-up/
