Bond’s Brighton visit causes a splash with synchronised swimmers
Chamber members Makemedia are helping Sussex’s sychronised swimmers to celebrate 50 years of James Bond in a show called Eau Eau 7 at the upcoming Brighton Fringe Festival show in May.
Over 30 swimmers from Brighton Dolphins and Brighton Swimming Club will perform various routines alongside actors from Peacehaven Community School, telling the story of Bond’s mystery visit to Brighton.
Liz Fitzsimons of Brighton Dolpins said, “This is our 4th annual show in the Brighton Fringe Festival. Our secret agent has a new assignment with an Olympic twist. We've been learning the routines since January and it’s all coming together nicely. We're really looking forward to it!”
The show is sponsored by local company Makemedia. Ben Dykes, Director and James Bond lookalike, explains, “Two of our staff are taking part in the show and when we heard about the event we wanted to show our support by sponsoring, as well as cheering them on when the day comes. It’s really great to be able to show our support to a local group.”
Tickets for the event are selling well and, as last year’s show “Lights, Water, Action!” was a sell-out event, fans are advised to dive in and get tickets as soon as possible.
The show will take place on Saturday 12th May at 8pm at the Prince Regent Swimming Pool, Jubilee Square, Brighton. Tickets are available at the Brighton Fringe Festival website and Box Office, or Dome Box Office.
