Biggest challenge quick fire questions
During the delightful spread laid down by Jasper's, I had a brief chat with some start-up entrepreneurs about their biggest challenges in business.
Dieter Hackenburg of Dieter Hackenburg coaching, changed career path after working for 25 years developing tech teams at the BBC. Now a people coach, Dieter takes clients on adventures every day in his campervan-meets-office, exploring the Sussex countryside and seeking business inspiration in natural beauty.
"It felt like the biggest risk, like I was standing at the edge of a cliff and I didn't know whether I would splatter like jam or fly", he told me. "Everyday's an adventure and I always try to put myself out of my comfort zone as much as possible to ensure I'm always challenging myself."
Cresco Communications is new to the Brighton comms scene but already founders Louise Boxall and Andrew Chapman have embraced the citys can-do attitude:
"We wouldn't have started so soon if it wasn't for moving to Brighton and the ease and reach of digital media and creativity here," Louise told me.
For her a big challenge is being younger and starting a business and she found Rob's story inspirational, proving that with hard work and passion, you can make it in business no matter what your age.
James Depster is another younger entrepreneur who brought the Cobb PR brand to Brighton last year when he started Cobb Digital and Cobb Healthcare. He said,
"The adventure of starting a new business was made easier coming in on the back of the Cobb brand but it did take a while to establish myself at the MD."
