The Big Debate: State of the City 2013
What is it about our city that helps – or hinders – your business? Can you recruit the staff you need? Would you like more affordable office space? Does the city do enough to showcase businesses locally, nationally and globally, or do the noisy neighbours Gatwick and Crawley do it better?
Brighton & Hove Chamber of Commerce is inviting attendees to set the agenda at its free annual event, which promises to be even more dynamic and collaborative than ever before.
Open to anyone who does business in the city, both Chamber members and non-members alike, this will be a chance for attendees to raise the issues that affect their businesses and hear from a range of experts.
The Big Debate, chaired by former BBC journalist Miranda Birch, will play host to a specially invited panel featuring Jason Kitcat, leader of Brighton and Hove City Council, Julia Chanteray, president of the Brighton and Hove Chamber of Commerce, and Gary Peters, chairman of the Brighton and Hove Economic Partnership.
The panel will give their unique viewpoint on the state of the city, then it’s over to the audience to take the lead in moving the discussion forward.
Attendees will have the opportunity to ask the burning questions they want answered. What’s more, they will not only be able to quiz the panel but also hear from invited experts, who bring with them a wealth of expertise and will share their opinions on the topics that matter.
The Chamber is keen to hear people’s thoughts and ideas, so if there is a particular issue you would like to raise, please tell us about it when you book your free place here.
In finding out what ideas everyone wants to bring to the table, we can ensure the debate reflects what the people who keep business booming in Brighton really want to talk about.
