If you watch tech news, use Facebook, Instagram or Whatsapp, you’ll have seen Facebook’s rebrand to Meta. With Facebook in the news, debate ensues about social platform’s (particularly Facebook’s) lifespan. The truth is these platforms have been the constant driver of revenue in a lot of small businesses in the last few years.
Here are three reasons Facebook and Instagram ads could work for your business:
1. Audience reach
Facebook is a powerhouse of daily active users. On average, a quarter of the world’s population visit Facebook daily. 66% of UK population are active users. The question is if your target market is hanging out there. In 2021, Millennial (25-41) and Gen X (42-56) users by 2%, and Baby Boomers (57+) grew by 40%.
2. Targeting
Laser-focused targeting is far better on Facebook and Instagram than other social platforms. There’s a vast array of behavioural and attitudinal interests to choose from when building potential audience pools. You can re-target website visitors and reach people, like your most valued customers, through data hashing - helping you reach untapped audiences.
3. Cost
Facebook and Instagram ads can be cost-effective. The price varies per click depending on your industry, targeting and objectives. It could cost you as little as £1 to reach 1,000 people. In some cases, it can be higher. You might target people with high intent to buy, or there could be seasonal demand (think Black Friday, Christmas). Could you test various propositions to scale ones that gain traction?
