100 Sides of Brighton
To celebrate their centenary year, the Brighton & Hove Chamber of Commerce are launching ‘100 Sides of Brighton’, a creative collaboration aiming to give voice to 100 people across all Brighton industries. Working with PR Agency, Don’t Believe the Hype, along with a team of freelance writers, the Chamber will conduct mini-interviews, asking the question: ‘Why Brighton? Why now?’
Brighton is more than a city, for many it is an ethos evident in all aspects of city life; it is seen in the talent of the street performers, evident in the creativity of Brighton’s many start-up businesses and obvious in the passion of its residents .
‘100 Sides of Brighton’ will explore the stories of those that form the city to find out what it is they love about Brighton, what their struggles have been and why they decided to make this their home and place of work.
The end result will be a multi-media collage of perspectives, using 100 stories to tell a bigger picture. The interviews will be conducted over a range of media platforms, including Twitter, Instagram, e-mail, video and audio with the aim of creating something truly unique.
Each story or perspective must fit into 140 characters or be the equivalent of 20-30 seconds of video or audio; a photograph or graphic can sometimes say so much more and the Chamber welcomes creative license.
If you feel you have a story to share about your experience of doing business in a city built for pleasure, or you know someone who would like the chance to take part in the project, contact the Brighton Chamber at admin@businessinbrighton.org.uk
